Special UDX (Utility Dog Excellent) Information:
This title is obtained by earning qualifying scores in both Open and Utility ten (10) times at the
same show. The dog and handler must receive a score of 170 or better in both Open B and
Utility B at ten different shows on ten different dates. No restrictions are placed on how many
judges. The team must quality in both classes each time. The dog must have completed its Utility
Degree before compiling the ten scores. Eligible scores must be obtained in Open B classes with
no less than six participating, and in Utility B no less than three. Exceptions are specialties, or
trials in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, or Alaska, where qualifying scores count provided the sum total of
dogs actually competing in all REGULAR obedience classes is not less than six.
O.T.Ch. = Obedience Trial Champion In the U.S. it takes three first places, one each from Open B
and Utility, and 100 points, earned only by achieving a first or second in those classes.
In Canada, a dog automatically becomes an O.T.Ch. when it completes Utility.
