Methos came to us on April 27,2001 just after his 4th birthday from a loving home in Maple Ridge. Methos became my first show dog & has taught me so much.

We began taking obedience & handling classes shortly after Methos came to live with us. We entered our first Sanction match July 08/2001 hosted by the Metro Valley Afghan Hound Association in Surrey, BC. We attended a 6 week Introduction to Tellington Touch class in 2002, held at the “Just about Pet Wellness Centre” (still one of my favorite pet places to go). We also attended a Growl Class (May 14,2002) given by Monique Charbonnier, whose teaching methods made such an impact on me (a Wonderful class, taught by a great person). Methos earned his CGC on June 27,2002. He finished his UCI Int’l Championship on the weekend of Sept 28-29,2002, in Cloverdale, BC. He went on to earn his Can. Championship on Dec 21,2003 being sensationally finished by his Grandma Suzanne Eikanger-Stoops (Mako’s mom) with a Group 3 finish for 5 points. Methos’ show career was short & he finished in a few months with myself handling him to his first 5 points (10 points are needed for a Canadian Championship). We thought he was retired from the show ring but at 9 yrs of age he was still going strong. He was entered in Veteran Sweepstakes at the 2006 Rottweiler Club of Canada Nationals. He placed 1st in the 9+yrs class. Then just one month before his passing he strutted his stuff at the 2007 BC Rottweiler Specialty in the 10+ sweepstakes & placed 1st. He was s pleasure to have in our home & a wonderful addition to our family. He will be sincerely missed.
